All about the dress…

Printed dresses are perfect for all occasions! This printed dress is the main focal point of the outfit so adding pieces to not take away from it is key. The blue blazer was simple and added a clean touch to the entire look. The statement necklace is perfect because it is not overshadowing the dress along with a classic pair of studs. The pink heels bring a pop of color to the outfit while still fitting with the print of the dress.

Cardigans, prints, and tights…

Two weeks ago I visited my newly built high school during my spring break which I blogged about in the post Spring Break Chronicles but while I was there I was roaming the hallways and I spotted this fabulous young lady and I had to capture her fabulous outfit! When I asked her if I could take pictures of her outfit to use her for the blog she was so excited and I promised her that I would most definitely feature her. It came a few weeks late but I kept my promise! Soooo… Meet Marissa!

Marissa paired a simple grey cardigan with a striped dress and she paired it with combats boots. She also pulled this look together with a black scarf with silver trimming and patterned tights!  I loveeeeeeeed her patterned tights! She wore cute lock and key stud earrings and heart necklace. Her jewelry was cute and simple while not overshadowing her ensemble. I loved her daytime make-up along with  her hairstyle that showed off her natural curls which was perfection.  This entire look was a 10 in my book! It was fashionable, stylish, and it showed her personal style. Marissa is soooo GORG!

IMAG3830She is such a beauty!

Merissa totally nailed this looked and she looked absolutely fabulous!

Prints and spring colors…

With today being the first day of spring this outfit is perfect for the transitioning weather because with the spring some cold days still come along. So this outfit is perfect for getting into spring weather! The polka dot shirt along with the colored jeans go perfect together and the leather jacket completes the look. The blue pumps add extra spunk and the jewelry complements the rest of the outfit.

OOTD: My Sunday look…

I absolutely loved my outfit on Sunday! It was not planned at all because I had chosen what I was going to wear to church the night before so I wouldn’t be rushing in the morning. I originally planned to wear a printed dress and a blazer but when I tried it on I just was not feeling the look at all. So when I went into my closet I chose the first things that caught my eye and my outfit finally came together.

Outfit details:

ImageIt took me forever to get this picture because my parents kept making me laugh LOL

Blazer: I purchased it from Target last year for $10 and it is one of my favorites. I love the color and I like that it can be dresses up or down.

Shirt: I found this lovely green peplum shirt at Marshall’s on Saturday for $6. When I saw it I fell in love with it so I had to have it!

Pants: I purchased them from Target last year as well. I love the pattern with the multiple colors and they fit really well too. I also have these pants in different colors because they were on sale for $8 a pair when I got them.

Heels: These metallic grey pumps were also from Target. They were the last pair in my size when I got them so they were meant for me! They were also $12!

Statement necklace & skinny belt: I purchased both of them from JCPenny’s during the fall.

Watch: Marc Jacobs. It was given to me by my parents last Christmas. I absolutely love it!

This entire look was about $36 (not including the Marc Jacobs watch)! Fabulous and stylish while not spending a lot of money. It is very possible to achieve amazing outfits while not breaking your bank account!

And of course I was rocking my infamous red lip!

Spring Break Chronicles: A recap of all of my fun!

So last week was my spring break and it was everything that I could have asked for and more! I had the most fabulous spending time doing various things so needless to say I definitely wasn’t ready for it to be over. So here’s a recap of all of my fun…

Monday: I spent a little bit of time in the hair salon while my hair was getting some much needed TLC! I got my hair colored and I wanted a color that was totally different from the last time I got my hair colored so my cousin Tosheba worked her magic. I absolutely love my hair! Now time to rock my blondish-brown hair!

Tuesday: I spent the day relaxing by laying in the bed all day and reading! Reading is one of my favorite things to do so I loved every minute of it.

Wednesday: I got to spend time with one of my all time favorites my Mia La’Mia! We’ve been friends since the fourth grade and we’ll be kickin’ it until we’re old ladies 🙂 Our day consisted of shopping, many laughs, and visiting our high school. Needless to say we had the best time ever! She’s my TYRA and I’m her WENDY… She’s love Tyra Banks and I love Wendy Williams so those are our nicknames that we gave each other our sophomore year of high school. We then decided that we would have our own talk show one day and it will definitely happen so be looking out for us in the near future!

Thursday: I had a girls day with my lovely friend Gabby! We started our day with an amazing adventure in ULTA because it was her first time going so needless to say she was in heaven. Afterwards we went to our favorite store Target then we ended our day at Buffalo Wild Wings.

Friday: I spent the entire day with my mommy! Our day consisted of shopping of course because that it is one of our favorite things to do together. I always enjoy spending time with my favorite lady ever!

Saturday: I had a girls day with my mommy and my auntie which consisted of us getting manicures and pedicures. Getting pampered was much need and spending the day with my favorite ladies was the best.

Sunday: I went to church and spent the rest of my day enjoying my family. Afterwards it was time to get back to the real world and head back to school. I didn’t want to go back to school but I have a degree to get LOL!

I thoroughly enjoyed every single minute of my spring break! I was sad that it was over but I made so many memories that I will cherish forever 🙂
