I’m back!

Hi loves!

I’M BACK! After a week of a blogging hiatus I am finally back. I had one of those weeks in school where it seemed like I was drowning in assignments and I finally got caught up. I know in my resolutions post (here) I had a plan about how I was going to get through junior year but last week just got the best of me. I also had no energy to put together cute outfits so I dressed very casual all week long and whatever I did decide to wear was nothing spectacular.

Anyways, I have some special things in store for the blog and all of you! In November I will be celebrating my one year blog anniversary! YAY! In a few weeks I will be having a photoshoot to celebrate it and I am in the process of putting my look together. I love taking pictures so I am super excited about this photoshoot!

As always, thank you so much for all of your support!

The sweatshirt dress…

Hi loves!

I had been looking for a sweatshirt dress forever but I just couldn’t seem to find one that I liked or that fit me right. However, this weekend while doing some shopping I found the perfect one in H&M. When I first saw it I was on the fence about if I was going to get it or not. I finally tried it on and I loved it! It was originally $15 but when I was checking it out it ended up being $7!

On Monday it was a little chilly here in VA so, I decided to wear my dress. It is the most comfortable dress ever! I seriously did not want to take it off at the end of the day. Needless to say I will definitely be looking for more sweatshirt dresses! Also, my flats are from Target and they are super comfy!

Hi loves! I hope you had an awesome weekend! I SUREEEEE did!

First, this is going to be a lengthy post!

Friday: I went to the BET College Tour held at Norfolk State University which is a local university near my college Old Dominion University. My favorite performer of all time Luke James was the headliner for the concert! Listen, I am completely obsessed with him! Like forreal Luke James is BAE! I totally had a complete fan girl moment! As soon as he walked on the stage I felt like I would pass out! Seriously though. As he’s performing I am just completely losing it. Then he goes on to pick six ladies out of the crowd to come on stage with him. However, he picked ladies and I happened to not be one of them. So, I decided to climb on stage anyway and he didn’t mind at all! By then I am freaking losing ALL of it because, I just couldn’t believe that I was on stage with my favorite artist. After the show I got to take pictures, hug, touch and everything else with Mr. Luke James. Needless to say I acted a COMPLETE fool! I had all of the thirst for Luke! Judge me, I don’t care!

And OUR moment happened…

I completely lost it again when I saw this! LOL.

One day last year I remember randomly telling my parents that I would meet Luke James one day. It FINALLY  happened and I am so thankful for that moment! He was the nicest celebrity that I had ever met. He gives the BEST hugs ever!

Saturday: I had a fabulous girls day with my cousins Monique and Da’Meka! Our day consisted of lots of shopping, eating great food, and most of all spending some much need quality time with one another.

Sunday: I went home for the day which consisted of me going to church and spending time with my family. My look was so much fun and it was one of those outfits that I didn’t want to take off! Side note: Yes, I am a repeat offender with my shirt! I wore it on Friday and Sunday. I don’t care!

10 facts about me…

Hi loves!

I haven’t done of these in a while so… Time for some sharing!

photo (1)

1. I’m a private person. That may sound weird being that I share so much about myself with you all but, in actuality I am the most private person ever. It’s like I’m sharing but I’m not really sharing. I’m an open private person! However, I am only like really open with very few people in my life.

2. While I’m away at school I FaceTime my parents every night before I go to bed. I absolutely adore my parents so of course I want them to be the last people I talk to before I got to bed. It just makes me feel and sleep better.

3. I’m addicted to Pinterest! I just can’t live without it! I get so many ideas from there but I only have tried a handful of them LOL.

4. I love bread! If I could eat a biscuit, roll, or any other type of bread every single day I would. I earned this honestly from my mother! Texas Roadhouse has the BEST rolls ever and the sweet cinnamon butter that goes with them… EVERYTHING!

5. I keep a journal. I write in it every night before I go to bed. I’m actually a few pages from finishing one now. I’ll be writing a post about it once I am completely done with it.

6. I have a collection of Christmas holiday barbies from the year I was born up until now. I also have a lot more of other collectible barbies as well. My parents started this tradition with me and if I have a little girl one day I want to do the same for her. Also, I have never opened any of my collectible barbies!

7. My daddy’s Man Cave is one of favorite places in my house! When I’m home I do all of my reading in there because it is just so quiet and peaceful in there.

8. I absolutely HATE math!

9. The Golden Girls is one of my favorite shows! When I was younger and even now my mommy, Aunt Glenda, and I can lay in the bed all day long and watch episodes. That is definitely one of my favorite things to do with them.

10. I have one tattoo and it’s on my wrist. It’s small and barely noticeable. It say’s “Proverbs 31:25” which happens to be my favorite scripture… “She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future.”

Retail therapy sales…

Hi loves! I hope all of you enjoyed your weekend!

On Saturday I decided that I was going to give myself a much needed break and do some retail therapy! It was the best decision that I made all week! I was not looking for anything in particular while I was shopping so I was just browsing around in stores. As I was getting ready to leave the mall I was passing by Loft and something told me to go in there to see what they had. I had never shopped there before but I thought why not give them a try. To my surprise they have some super cute clothes in there! So, as I was looking around the store I came across a rack that had some of their end of the season items up there. I found two pairs of ankle length dress pants for $4.88 each! They were originally $69.50 so I got a super deal! I loveeeeeee getting good deals like that! As always I’ll share pictures up here when I style them.

Anyways, I just wanted to share my super deal with you all!
