A year ago today I created this blog and it was one of the best decisions that I ever made! I seriously cannot believe that I have been blogging for one year! I started this journey randomly last year and I have loved every single minute of it! I have been able to share my love for fashion and my journey through life with all of you. More importantly I am so grateful to all of you who have shared this journey with me. I APPRECIATE YOU! I am looking forward to many more years of sharing with you. The best is yet to come for The Always Fabulous!

I can now share the fabulous photos from my photoshoot celebrating my one year anniversary!

Recap: My weekend…

Hi loves! I hope all of you had a fabulous weekend! I truly enjoyed every minute of my weekend!

Friday: I had my photoshoot to celebrate my one year blog anniversary! It was freezing cold outside but I WERKED it! It was totally worth me being freezing cold because the pictures turned out amazing! My one year blog anniversary is on Thanksgiving so you all will be able to see the fabulous pictures then!

Saturday: I had a much needed shopping day with my mommy and my aunt! Side note: Shopping days with them are always great but now they are a little bittersweet, because my Nana would always be with us all well. It’s been a month since her passing and I am still having a hard time with it but I am at peace knowing that she is my guardian angel now. We went to Kohl’s and we ended up being in there for about two hours! In my recent trips there I am falling in love with that store more and more. For my look I decided to wear one of my favorite capes and it needless to say I will be purchasing more of them soon!

Operation photoshoot!

Hi loves!

On Friday I will be having my photoshoot to celebrate my one year blog anniversary! I am super, super, super excited! For weeks I have been shopping to find the perfect outfit, but last weekend when I was home I found a sassy skirt in my closet that I had completely forgot that I had. I can’t wait to share my pictures with you all so that you can see my look! Side note: You can ALWAYS find something in your closet that you forgot that you had and create a cute outfit! My photoshoot will be taking place outside and it has been freezing here in VA, but I will be WERKING it in spite of the cold weather!

As always, thank you for all of your support! I absolutely LOVE all you fabulous people! Enjoy the rest of your week and stay fabulous!

Skincare favorites…

Hi loves!

I am complete freak when it comes to my skincare! In order to have a BEAT face with makeup you must treat your skin right. No, I am not a beauty guru but I will always share beauty products that I like and that I’ve had success with! I have a few products that I simply cannot live without and I had to share them with you all!

First, no matter how tired I am at night, I always take my makeup off and wash my face! NEVER sleep in your makeup! NEVER. Wash your face no matter what and that will keep those breakouts from happening!

skincare favorites

1. MIA 2 Clarisonic: My parents got me one for Christmas last year and within weeks I saw a difference in my skin. It costs a pretty penny but it is worth it! I use it in the morning and at night, but it is perfectly fine if you only use it once a day.

2. Simple Toner: A few months ago I was browsing in the skincare aisles of Wal-Mart and I found this bottle of toner, so I decided to give it a try. AH-MAZING! I have naturally oily skin and this has helped with it so much. I use it after I wash my face then I put my moisturizer on.

3. Coconut Oil (Better Body): I’ve always been a fan of coconut oil and this brand can be found a Sam’s Club. I use it to take my makeup off along with a makeup wipe. I also use it on my hair and on my body!

4. Aveeno moisturizer: I’ve been using this moisturizer since July and it is perfection! It keeps my skin moisturized all day long and it helps with my naturally oily skin.

5. Alaffia Liquid Black Soap: EVERYTHING! I’ve been using this soap for about a year now and I will not wash my face with anything else. It’s a peppermint soap so it makes your skin tingle in a good way! I purchased the biggest size from Whole Foods and it has lasted me for the entire year. It is also only $10 at Whole Foods!

Let me know if you decide to try any of these items!

Recap: My weekend…

Hi loves!

I hope all of you have enjoyed your weekend! It was my homecoming at my school so I definitely had an eventful weekend and I am absolutely exhausted. Yesterday I went home for the day to spend time with my parents and relax. When I walked into my house my mommy looked so darn cute! So, of course I was going to feature her fabulous look! Also, I will be sharing my look for the All Black homecoming event that I went to on Saturday night.

Hi loves!

Ya’ll. I can’t even explain how busy I’ve been lately. I’m barely getting sleep these days and I feel like my school work is never ending! I have a month left in this semester and I can’t wait for it to be over. However, my one year blog anniversary is coming up and I am SO excited! I am taking a photoshoot to celebrate it in two weeks and I can hardly wait, because I love taking pictures. I’m still deciding on what I am going to wear and I am hoping that the weather is great on the day of my shoot. Anyways, I wanted to give you all an update on what has been going on in my life! I hope all of you enjoy the rest of the week!

As always, I appreciate ALL of the support from you lovely people! YOU ARE APPRECIATED!

Recap: My weekend…

Hi loves! I hope all of you had a fantastic weekend! I definitely enjoyed every minute of my weekend and I did not want it to come to an end.

Saturday: I had a doctors appointment in the morning then my mother and I had a shopping day. Afterwards, at the spur of the moment I randomly ended up hanging out with a friend. We hadn’t seen each other in a while so it was good catching up with each other. We had one of those talks where time slips by and you don’t even notice it because you’re having so much fun.  Side note: Unplanned moments usually end up being the best time ever!

Sunday: I went to church then I spent time with my family! Spending time with my parents and my family is always the best.

My look:

Dress: Cotton On

Blazer: Thrifted

Blue Necklace: Charlotte Russe

Gold Necklace: This necklace is so special to me because it belonged to my Nana whom just passed away two weeks ago today. The necklace is a picture of a guardian angel which is so fitting because my Nana is my guardian angel now.

Boots: Stein Mart

Watch: Marc Jacobs
